The Euro­pean Commis­sion – DG Educa­tion and Culture & DG Rese­arch and Inno­va­tion – in colla­bo­ra­tion with CARE, is orga­ni­zing the confe­rence “A Great Start In Life! The best possible educa­tion in the early years” in Brussels, 30 November – 1 December 2016.

The overall goal is to bring rese­ar­chers, policy makers, early child­hood educa­tion and care and primary school staff toge­ther to discuss how to create the condi­tions for the best possible educa­tion in the early years. Ages 0–12 and the tran­si­tions between home, child­care and school will be covered. Parti­cular focus will be put on how to combat inequa­li­ties and include vulnerable groups.
